My kid's father is an alcoholic, he keeps saying how he's gonna quit drinking n he know's he has a problem. I managed 2 get him 2 go 2 the doc 2 recieve anxiety pills n stop drinking because he says that his anxiety is brought on by work n thats why he drinks so much. Well he went 2 the doctor got the anxiety pills n 3 days in2 the treatment he started drinking again. Now every night he has 3 tall cans of beer w/ his medicine. He's not changing at all what should I do?

P.S. he's not abusive or ne thing but he does like 2 pick fights (arguements) n take things out of context when he's drunk!

I have been in your position, except my husband was abusive when he had been drinking, and as I am myself a recovering alcoholic, life has been very difficult. I used to threaten with leaving etc. but nothing worked, because from experience I know that a alcoholic has to hit their personal 'rock bottom' before they seek help. You need to consider your choices especially as there is a child involved. You could perhaps go to Al-Anon, so that you get some support, and offer to go to AA meetings with him. If all else fails, I am afraid it is not going to get any better, only worse.

You'll be method more fit with out consuming alcohol. I drink always and do not consider too healthful. You can get wellness results from crimson wine via consuming a dismal grape juice. Men will nonetheless like ladies who dont drink, extra females dont drink than guys.

Don't give up yet. He has a problem and it will take some time to see results. I suggest taking him to AA meetings. Whenever you see beer in the house then get rid of it or hide it from him.
If his behavior escalates to violence then get away from him. Your child is depending on you and you owe it to your child to allow him to grow up in functional family.
If he continues to drink then move out. Perhaps he will come to his senses and quit drinking.

Go to Al-Anon meetings for yourself. They're free, and they deal with this very topic. Their number should be in the first part of the phonebook.

Find out what kind of help is available at his job. That should be your first step. Plus it should be free, or very cheap

Honey. You have made your effort to get him to change, and he obviously doesn't care about you or you guy's child.
Seek custody of your child, and move out and get yourselves away from this situation.
