Can a"BAT" die from being hit from a screen door to many times?? crazy I know,but One day I was walking out

my back door and something fell,and it was daytime,and there he was on the ground moving slowly.He had been hanging above my backdoor and we had been going in and out all day, and i guess the screen door kept hitting him and he finally had enough, and fell and died.

I hope you didn't touch him. Over 70% of bats found during the day time and in unusual places (like by a door) is rabid. There was a study done of over 1000 bats, and with 70% found to be rabid, that is a pretty high incidence rate with finding them in the wrong places. If he was not sick or rabid, he should have moved the first time you hit him with the door.
If you still have the bat, and did touch it quite a bit- bring the body in for testing. Better safe than sorry.

Now, only 0.1% of all bats are rabid, but a normal bat will be as far away from humans as possible- they may swoop in your hair at night, but thats about it.

my co worker had an apartment that got bats inside ,whenever he got one ,he waited until night when if started flying , he ththen held up a tennis racket, the bat would hit it and die ,so yes a blow from a screen door could kill a bat

Hmmm... maybe he was hanging around where he shouldn't be because he was already sick and dying? I guess bats travel and tend to find new places to rest temporarily. They get a good nap into them and head out again. Likely already sick tho if the door slamming didn't deter him from staying there, he normally would have left to find a much quieter place to nap.
