You can search New Zealand's telephone directory online at www.whitepages.co.nz. However, there's always the chance that their number won't be listed.

If you're in New Zealand, you can view the Electoral Roll at registrar's offices which would give you someone's address. However this information isn't online, so this is no good if you're not in New Zealand.

You can also try Friends Reunited, as they've now bought out the New Zealand equivalent and there are lots of NZers on there. You may find it helpful to post a message on a message board there. You'd be surprised how small NZ really is - seems like everyone knows each other - and it's quite possible that you'd get some joy out of this.

If you know what company someone works for you can just call them there. Companies can't strictly give out information about their employees but you can just call and ask to speak to the person, pretending that it is business-related.

I am hoping you aren't a stalker but.
What about the yellow/ehite pages on-line www.yellowpages.co.nz.
There is also the electoral role if you know what city they are in it would be easier.

We need more info really. Is it family, firiend, what have you tried already etc

If worst comes to worst try advertising in the major papers:
www.fairfaxmedia.co.nz.

e.g The Herald - Auckland
Dominion Post - Wellington

Go to a search engine like Google and type in Telecom NZ or something similar. It's an online telephone directory. If your friend is on the phone, and you know their initials and it's not too common a name, you may strike lucky. It will be much easier if you know which town they live in.
