Too much of anything in excess can cause weight gain. Bananas are not the lowest Caloried fruit in the bunch(no pun intended). They are a good source of potassium. I, personally, wouldn't eat more than two a day.

Only consuming too much increases fat in your body. ANY food in moderation will never make you fat. Fresh fruits and vegetables are by far the most healthy for anyone in compared to a chips and candy diet.
A banana or two a day, as well as any other furit will not create fat.

Banana eating increases fat in the body?
From: Sri
Question: Recently, I started taking a banana with curd rice during dinnertime (due to my indigestion problem). Is it true that eating banana daily increases fat in our body? I don't want to put on any weight. Please do suggest me on this.
Ans: Ripe banana is high in carbohydrates and not fat. Due to relatively high calorie content it may spare fat resulting in its accumulation. One banana taken every day alone is not going to increase your weight.

Bananas have a lot of sugar in them. If you are inactive and eating a lot of bananas, the sugar can convert to fat and you could end up with a weight problem. Best to limit the amount of fruit you eat and opt for vegetables, though green beans, corn, peas and carrots should be enjoyed in limited moderation. Choose dark green vegetables and dark leafy greens.

If it does, then I will stop eating them from today onwards!
But I have heard that eating bananas in excess does increase the fat count in the body...so it should be eaten in moderation...

If you're using a banana as a snack to replace a bag of chips or a candy bar, then I wouldn't worry about the minimal fat and calories in it because it's STILL way better for you!
