L'chaim says she is a Jew by choice.
Here she gives the impression that she may soon become a Baptist by choice.
In which case, her conversion to Judaism will be deemed invalid lekht'hilla.
Bye.

Southern Baptist still retains and holds true to its boring, old school image. Sorry if this offends folks, but I was raised that way and having visited the church once after a long hiatus proved why I went away in the first place. It's full of hypocrits that are doing the very "evils" that they speak fire and brimstone against.

Yes church services have changed drastically in the last 30 years. No church is not for the purpose of worshipping God, that is one of the changes that has taken place. Church is for the study of the word, and the development of your chiristian faith. see Ephesians 4 and 5. We used to do so much at church, have testimonies, stories for the kids, special music, missionary talks, scripture reading, hymn sings, updates on needs, and so much more. Today I go and they sing for half an hour, and preach for half an hour, and call it worship.

A lot of churches have made some compromises. Such as some Methodist and Baptist churches have combined and created services that are a little more lax. They no longer find as many faults on doctrine.

There is some great evil in your life that you are avoiding.
and yes services have changed too much. Good luck finding a church that still sings out of a hymnal. these praise choruses get SO boring!

In case you haven't been paying attention: Religion's most useful tool is fear. Gotta keep the sheep afraid or they might have an independent thought. And then the cash will stop flowing in.

what is your churches response to Larry Todd S.'s rant about
I ARRET I as the french stop sign.
and the verse that states all things to glorify LORD GOD.
because I see the name IARRE T glorified on the sign.
wouldnot that make LARRY T. the glorified pronounciation for Gods names.

when i was younger the church i attended taught fire and brimstone and had tent meetings in public personally i dont think God ever intended to frighten people like that He said we should have a reverant fear(an awe)of Him but not like they preached then it has changed immensely

If you want to go to church to feel better, look at Joel Osteen. However, if you'd like to improve yourself, go to a church that steps on your toes, then you'll know what's wrong with you and what you can do about it.
