I was just wondering if somebody hurt you really bad in ur life (for example, ur mom) and you haven't talked to that person for about 8 months...would u forgive them or wait for them to realllyy regret everything they've put u through? Or would you just completely cut that person out of ur life?

I think not talking to the person is the right way to calm yourself until you learn to forgive that person & finally forget what that person did to you that hurts you so bad. Time will tell.

My husband committed Domestic Violence on my nephew and I had to work up the courage to testify against him and help put him in prison for 14 months. It was a continuous thing with him. I didn't write to him for months and I hated him, I just wanted a divorce. However, i started visiting him in prison and he got out in january. Although we aren't living together, we still love each other and I have forgiven him for ALL the acts of DV in our relationship. We plan on being together after he gets some more counseling. I don't think I need to ask for his forgiveness though. He was using drugs and pawning EVERYTHING my kids and I owned and getting more and more violent.

Life is too short not to forgive, especially someone as close as a mother. People make mistakes, including you, so just do your best to let things go and move on... you'll be so much happier after you let the weight go, even if you guys dont have a relationship

Ever heard the saying "To err is human; to forgive, divine"? There is a lot of truth to it. It takes a lot of energy to be angry at someone -wasted energy. Sometimes the person you forgive doesn't even know you have forgiven them, but forgiveness for the forgiver is freedom.

properly you may tell him, that your no longer intrested in something with him precise right this moment. If he's friends including your loved ones and friends, then that would desire to present day some issues. yet tell him, the way you sense and not forget approximately approximately him. with a bit of luck he gets the hint and you will possibly be able to flow on including your life.

forgive. You will start feeling bad about yourself if you don`t even talk to her. I love my mom no matter what and you should too. I`ve been in the same situation many of times.

You cant cut your mom out of your life dude she's apart of you no matter what has happened. plus life is far to short to hold a grudge on someone. What ever she's done just let it go and start new.
You know you love her. you cant cut out someone you love.

I would've forgiven them if they had apologized eight months ago. It may have taken time to really be able to talk to them but at least I wouldn't have a huge grudge hanging over me.

I forgive but I DO NOT forget... I will not allow what ever happened to happen again but I will let what they did to me pass and I will move on. If not for them, then for myself and my good life !!
