10 MONTHS IS A LITTLE EARLY BUT, TRY INTRODUCING IT SLOWLY AS NOT TO SHOCK HER FROM ONE THING TO ANOTHER SO QUICKLY SHE IS STILL A BABY !!! ALSO PUT SOMETHING BORING IN THE BOTTLE AND SOMETHING TASTY IN THE SIPPY CUP !!! ALSO TAKE HER TO THE STORE AND LET HER PICK THE MOST INTERESTING SIPPY CUP SHE FINDS...IF SHE LIKES IT YOU'LL LOVE AND IT'LL BE MUCH EASIER !!! GOOD LUCK

Wait a little while longer, unless you think she's ready now. Chances are, she isn't prepared to give it up. I waited til my daughter was a year old. The day after her birthday, I just threw them all away and I let her see me do it. I said, "Okay, you're a year old now, no more babas"(that's what she called them) She looked really sad and cried a little. But, then I said, "Now you get to use big girl sippies!" I showed her the new cups she would be drinking from and she was really excited. Sure, late at night she would beg for a bottle, but I would remind her gently, "Remember, we threw those away. You're a big girl now." It only took a solid week to get her to forget about them. Because that worked so well, I've done all transitions the same way. She's almost four now, and I'm so glad I just threw all the bottles away when I did, because yesterday I saw a two year old at McDonalds with a bottle in his mouth and a pacifier in his lap. That could have been my kid if I had let her.

Put something better tasting in a sippy cup than what is in the bottle.

For example: Put fully mixed formula in a sippy cup and watered down formula in the bottle. Or 100% juice in the sippy cup and 25% juice 75% water in the bottle. If she's still preferring the bottle, go to water only in the bottle.

my daughters' pediatrician didn't recommend weening off the bottle until 12 months, but i suppose you could get an early start. i used the soft top nubby sippy cups first, and the transition was pretty easy. when it's getting close to a feeding time, give her some juice (half juice, half water) in the sippy cup and see if she'll take it. if she resists, hold off for a couple days then try again.

Invest in some very soft spout sippy cups. Give her only formula or breast milk in the bottles - put juice and everything else in the sippy. Eventually, you can start substituting the sippies with formula/milk for the bottles, one at a time. For example, if she usually gets 4 bottles a day, give her 3 bottles and 1 sippy. Then give 2 bottles, 2 sippies, etc.
If your daughter doesn't like the sippy cups, even with soft spouts, then try cups with straws built in them.

Good luck!

10 months? she's still a baby ... The only way you should wean a 10th month old from a bottle is if she can drink very very well from her sippy cup and is getting at least 24 oz of her formula every day. Plus like 1 cup of juice and a little water. Most 10 month olds cannot do that.

I started with daytime bottles. The first to go was the mid morning, then the mid afternoon. I saved the nighttime and AM ones for last because they are the most comforting to young children and I wanted my daughter to get used to the sippy cup. Honestly, the hardest for me was the nightime bottle. She cried and cried. But this only went on 3 nights. After that, she never asked for her bottle again.

if she is taking a sippy cup then do no longer even concern with the bottles anymore.... it will be a sprint stressful for the 1st few nights yet she will quickly see that she would not want the bottle anymore. supply her a si[[y cup each and all of the time now.. she is in simple terms too previous to be utilising a bottle, and if something, do no longer supply her something yet water contained in the bottle.... then start up pushing the cup on her at nighttime.

When my daughter turned one year old, I took her off of bottles and formula at the same time and put her on sippy cups and milk. Because the milk was different, she didn't seem to miss the bottle at all.

Switch the contents of the bottle into the sippy cup or whatever, she'll adjust, just don't give her her bottle back. Errr show her how to use the sippy cup.

dont start weening till her 12month. just give her time. alot can happen in two months. also try using a sippy cup with another drink. so she can get use to the sippy cup. during this time you can find which one she likes. avent sells a great sippy cup with a rubber top. it's great!
