you ask you pay, no matter what gender asks

unless you want to split it 50-50 (like with the tux, dinner, etc, which is what he is doing already)

but yes, you pay for his ticket

I'm assuming the ticket shouldn't be that much. And even if it is, it's not nearly as much as tux, dinner, and a limo. That's ridiculous. If you wanted him to go I say you pay his way.

Asking someone to an event is just like inviting him to your home. You're the host and he's the guest. Guests don't pay. Instead, they take their turn being your host later on.

Equality comes from taking turns providing hospitality. Not by doing away with hospitality, as some would have you do.

You should pay for his ticket. He should pay for the tuxedo. the limo I'm not sure I kinda think so. But if he does offer to help pay for the limo. It would be nice if you bought his meal.

My view is that anybody who asks somebody else out on a date, regardless of gender, is obligated to pay for the entire date. I think he should pay for his tuxedo but that is all. Since you did the asking, the dinner and limousine are your obligation.

Sounds right to me; might offer to pay for your dinner if you were really nice about this and it's just a "friends" deal.

why would anyone want to waste a boat load of money just for a prom? It should go towards college funds or someone who actually needs the money.

He just pays for his tux & your flowers you asked you pay just like if he asked he would be expected to pay.

1/2 & 1/2 is the most appropriate & fair way of handling any event.

If you learn anything from me.....Is this...STOP referring youself as a GIRL.
Ask the same question with the word WOMAN. It changes everything.
Good Luck.
