I'm looking at getting a french bulldog - from what I've seen the dad is that - but is the mother? does she only look like that because she is pregnant? Thank you. Links below: copy past

I did find your pics. but thanks for re-posting the question.
I think the mom is part Boston terrier.
black and white is not an acceptable Frenchy color. here is from AKC description> Color
Acceptable colors - All brindle, fawn, white, brindle and white, and any color except those which constitute disqualification. All colors are acceptable with the exception of solid black, mouse, liver, black and tan, black and white, and white with black, which are disqualifications. Black means black without a trace of brindle. <<

they are adorable puppies! but I don't believe them to be purebred..You would need to see mom's papers for sure..

The mother definitely looks as if she is mixed with a Boston Terrier. This is fairly common today and should represent to you the difference in getting a purebred Frenchie or a mutt. Also these puppies cost quite a lot to birth and if the deals seems too good to be true (less than $1000/pup minimum) - it probably is.

I recommend asking the breeder if they offer a 2-3 year health certificate, will they take the dog back regardless of age, and if the mother and father meet AKC standards or if the pups are AKC registered/eligible.

the mom looks like a Boston Terrier mix. They are cute puppies though!!!!!! Not really sure if Dad is purebred either now that I just looked again.
