I bought some strawberry cheesecake fudge at a russle stover store yesterday and I was wondering how long fudge can keep. I'm not asking how long you think it will take for me to finish it, just how long does it take before fudge goes bad?

I would say depends on the type of fudge. My friend bought me regular 1lb fudge with nuts on it but couldn't give it to me until a month later and it was still good.

This quote is from a fudge factory. I guess you can decide from that:
"Our fudge contains no added preservatives. Sugar, a natural ingredient, is also a great natural preservative. Our fudge will not go "bad". After a period of time, the fudge may start to lose it's moisture content or may start to get softer. This will not effect the taste or flavour. Our 200 gram fudge size is shrink wrapped. Allows for a 2 to 4 month shelf life at room temperature, 4 to 6 months in the fridge, and freezes well if protected for 1 year. The 175 gram fudge is flow wrapped giving a 4 to 6 month shelf life at room temperature, 6 to 8 months refrigerated or freeze up to one year. In your start-up information package, with your first order, we cover "zero product waste".

in case you freeze it, for months, yet unfrozen i'd say each week or so, even in an hermetic field. Your would desire to freeze the guy parts and whip them out once you're waiting to distribute them.

it really depends if it was packed fudge, of if it was loose.
