I don't say that to discourage you, and I know that isn't what you want to hear, but I don't want to lie to you or have you set yourself up for disappointment. The good news is that you are very young still and you have a higher metabolism now than you will when you get older. So, it's a wonderful time to start! Don't skip meals. Instead, eat 5-6 smaller meals or 3 meals and two snacks per day. Your body will burn more calories this way b/c it is expecting to get fed more often. You should probably focus on cardio more than weight training if due partially to your age, you don't want to hurt yourself, you are young and still growing. A combination of both would work well also. Instead of oatmeal for breakfast, eat malt-o-meal. It will help you reach your goal quicker. Drink a lot of water, eat fresh chicken and turkey, and lots and lots of veggies. You'll be surprised how quick you'll start losing weight! Make sure you consume less calories than you burn off or you will not lose weight. It is safe to lose about 1-2.5 pounds per week. Much more is not healthy.

To loose weight fast, go on the Atkins Diet. Eliminate all unatuaral sugars from your diet and don't eat any bread. Eat lots of fruit. You feel so much better after just two days. Fifty sit-ups a day work for me in the exersise department. If you have trouble with eating too much, then try having a homwmade smoothie as an everyday snack. Two glasses fill you up so ur not tempted to eat anything else. I have to loose five pounds in 3 weeks b4 i go to Florida. I will be dieting too. Don't overdo it though- you are still a growing kid. You are on the rights track - don't loosing it fast but loosing it forever - the thing is staying active to keep you metabolism up - remember to eat a wide range of foods to ensure you are getting enough micro-nutrients - these can affect you further development - you can burn a lot of calories and set you metabolism in your 30 minute walk - by varying the tempo - by doing fast paced spurts that increase you burn rate you also can set your metabolism to burn more during your resting period - make sure you get enough sleep as newer studies have shown that people who sleep less than 6 hours a day tend to gain weight - lastly look up your BMI - body mass index to determine you ideal weight because muscle weights more than fat - per volume and by looking at 130 or 140 you might be trying yo loose muscle weight which is not healthy - think in terms of hips/waist/ belly size to shoot for

Exercise everyday like jogging around the block
Skip meals. Eat 2 times per day than 3 times per day
Dont eat until you're full
Eat fruits at night if your hungry.
Drinks lots of water and stop all the fast food and chocolate.

You have to do multiple exercises to lose weight. Play ball, run, swim, lift weights. Just oatmea is boring and you'll end up eating crap all over again.
eat 5 small meals a day. Instead of oatmeal try a protein shake.
I can only due oatmeal once a day. It's just too mushy.

Why are you and so many other people worried about losing weight FAST? Losing weight quickly is not good for your body.
Worry about exercising regularly and eating a healthy diet, the lost weight will automatically follow

Exercise is great - unhealthy eating is not. You can't be healthy eating just one thing, or one category of nutrients. Reduce your calories, increase your activity and YOU WILL LOSE WEIGHT! Remember - it took you 15 years to get here, you won't lose it overnight. Be patienet with yourself and recognize that you are doing a GREAT and HARD thing for yourself. Surround yourself with people who believe that you can do it, and you will.... Good luck

COUNT YOUR CALORIES
Remember, drinks, butter, catsup, soda-pop, gum, mints, mayo, ALL DRESSINGS and any little thing like that all add up.
Dont use oatmeal. Pick fruits and veggies. If you are still hungery, drink hot water to fill you up after a "meal".
