Suns are sexually dimorphic, so you're going to have to have your guy/gal DNA sexed. There's several labs that will do it for a reasonable fee - in the USA it's about $25 or so. There's two ways you can do that. Either pluck a few chest feathers and stick 'em and the payment in an envelope, or cut a nail too short and stick a drop or two on one of their special cards (you can phone or email the lab for a few).

The USA has several labs that do this, as does Canada. I'm not sure about Australia or the UK. Just google 'DNA sexing parrots' or check out Bird Talk Magazine. Those two usually come up with a few sources :-)

If worse comes to worse, you can always ask your vet, though that can be a bit pricey.

You would have to take him or her in to the vet to have DNA testing done to fined out the sex usually cost about 40.00
