Normally butter is sold with 4 sticks in a package. Each stick is a 1/4. So it would be 4 sticks to a pound. Good luck with your recipe!

Each full size stick is a 1/4 of a pound, so 4 sticks make a pound. On most sticks of butter there is a guide on the side showing teaspoons, tablespoons and ounces.
