It depends on what type of information you are looking for.
For a research paper, professors prefer that al of the information that you choose to use is good, reliable information; therefore, I would suggest going to the library or barnes and nobles and finding books there about illegal immigration. A few that are great in which I have read are Tom Tancredo's "Mortal Danger," "Mexifornia" by Victor Hanson, "Alien Nation" by Peter Brimlow, and former congressman JD Hayworth's "Whatever It Takes." These books are all pretty good if you are taking a stand against illegal immigration.
Also, there are books that look at illegal illimgration from the other spectrum in which I have read, with a book called "Wet back Nation" amongst them.
There are numerous websites in which you can use, but I wouldn't suggest using most because much of the information on them is unreliable. Try doing a google search using "journal articles on illegal immigration;" doing this will get you some scholarly articles (which is what professors require).
Hope this helps!

To Alias's answer above, I'm not sure a publication from 'Chicano Studies' is exactly unbiased either.
To you, the point is this is a controversial issue and I don't know of any reports that are completely without agenda. You might do better to compare two sources with opposite agenda and come out with a neutral paper yourself. You could use the two sources above, or go to CIS and Pew Hispanic Center. Be careful when people start lumping statistics of illegal immigrants in with legal immigrants, however. Our immigration laws are intentionally slanted so that the legal immigrant numbers are unusually good. They distort the illegal immigration numbers beyond recognition.

Also, try www.sjsu.edu. Then click on library services, then research articles. Search under social sciences, and then for immigration or illegal immigration. You can use the ones that don't say SJSU only.
