No, it is wrong!
The verb ’hang’ has two different forms for the participle.
To hang up the washing: hung.
To hang somebody by the neck: hanged.
You cannot mix them!
We hung out, but
the criminal shall be hanged by the neck till death occurs.
(an official sentence)

it is not a question of grammar contained in the strictest experience, yet particularly of convention. Inanimate gadgets are hung as an basic remember of having them out of ways--one would not penalize or punish a coat or a photograph. people are hanged by way of fact punishment is inflicted on them--that's constantly in passive voice. there is an entire complicated component with regards to the German prefix "an" changing the previous participle from hängt (hanged) to angehungen (hung up, as a photograph). contained in the intervening time the Normans conquered England and the prefixes have been lost, by way of fact French has none. What began as tangled Germanic historic previous wound up as an insignificant convention. Our difference between "lie" and "lay" is touching directly to this historic previous additionally, yet enable's no longer bypass there right this moment.
