I have recently created a ministry website for the local community ( www.fillingtheneed.com) and was wondering what is the best way to spread the word. Newspaper? Radio? I really do not want to spam the churches with an unsolitied email. Thanks in advance and God Bless !

You may just want to call the pastors of local churches and let them know this resource is available. Ask if they'd like for you to send them something in the mail. That way, it isn't unsolicited.

I believe that radio reaches more people than any other medium, and is less pricey than TV, for example.

Or you could just staple fliers everywhere that it is legal to do so (or place fliers on cars in the supermarket parking lot).

---------edit----

Ignore what "Sean M" said. First of all, anyone who follows Jesus is automatically a priest after the order of Melchizedek according to the New Testament; the priesthood of the Levites (Aronic) is no longer valid under the New Testament according to the book of Hebrews, for example. Second of all, all Christians are to spread the word. Third of all, Mormons are not Christians, so I would not limit myself based on what they teach.

I would disscourage you in doing this as a friend and christian.

You need to have the athority of the Melchezidic and Aronic priesthood to preach the Gospel which are in the bible you should read about them.

If you do not have the Melchezidic priesthood where whould you get it?

What will you do when someone asks you where your athority comes from.

There is one true church of God. We can preach the word but we must carry the athority and understand the word.

I testify that there is only one true church and a prophet and apostles who hold the keys to the ministry of Christ.

It is a promise and challenge in the book of Mormon that if you read and pray and ask God in the name of christ if these things are true he will manifest it to you through the holy ghost.

You can be a Bishop in this church in the right order of things.

The priesthood and God can make more of any man then he can make of himself through faith and obediance.

Many newspapers have a "Religion & Faith" section. It may just run on Saturday or something. This section usually has some type of article by a local contributor. They're always looking for a story! Contact them
