Ask your Dr to refer you to the hospital for a CT scan of your lower back, particularly your kidneys. I suffered lower back pain for many months, and it was found to be something with one of my kidneys. If I had asked the Dr to refer me earlier, it would have been a lot better in the long run.

Sounds like mechanical back pain - go to your GP and get referred for a scan. In the meantime, mind your back, avoid sitting for long periods, and avoid low chairs and couches all the time. Lying on your tummy is the best position to rest your back in for short periods often during the day, but don't stay for too long, in case you seize and can't get up!
Get it checked out - it could get worse.

Have a food sensitivity test - sounds a bit wacky but I experienced this for years before discovering it was eating grains. symptoms went in a couple of days after I eliminated the foods.

I have similar problems. I got back supports for my chairs (even in my car) and occasionally I ice it at night while I'm watching TV. These things help me.

I had the same problem this weekend. I went to the doctor and he told me that I had pulled a muscle. He prescribed a muscle relaxer (Felxeril) and told me to take it easy. No lifting!

this sounds like a chiropractic condition. have you seen a chiropractor? they will be able to provide you with a diagnosis, treatment, and hopefully preventative measures. Delaying your treatment will also delay your improvement.
Best of luck!
