Tornadoes generally travel from Southwest/Northwest towards Southeast/North East. This is the general direction movement of Majority of Tornadoes in US.

Regarding rotation of Hurricanes or Typhoons :

Hurricanes or Typhoons rotate in counter clockwise direction in northern hemisphere and clockwise direction in the southern hemisphere of our earth. This is because of the Coriolis force on wind flow in our atmosphere.
