Can somebody share your views if there is any diff when you date a man when he's 30 and another when he's 40? Mentally & emotionally, do they expect diff things from their potential partner or the r/ ship?

I dated a 30 yr old man almost 2 yrs ago (he's a yr older than myself previously) and he wasn't looking to settle down. He was extremely established for somebody he's age and while he had made enough than most would need for a lifetime, money was never enough and it's his primary goal in life at this time. R/ship wasn't something he needed at the phase of his life. Only money and sex matters.

It's been almost 2 yrs since I started to date again. Just met somebody recently and he's 10 yrs my senior.

I was wondering if a man in his 30s and a man in 40s would treat a r/ship differently in anyway? Eg. 30s might consider $ and sex utmost impt. 40s might consider intellectual stimulation, great personality & companionship matters more (maybe?)

Not lacking in brain & beauty...

Clarification : Frankly, the younger man's more brilliant & capable and running his own biz with projects in many parts of the world.

Both men are extremely well-travelled.

Older man is holding very senior position in established MNC & contributing substantially to the firm he worked for.

Well I think its a case by case basis really.
Ive had friends that were 25 and act 60.
I have also seen the reverse...however there are some interesting generalties that you hit on:

All men below 40 are primarily interested in sex, regardless of what they might say.

Some men hit their prime in their 40's and figure out what it takes to please a woman. Most men are less self-centered the older they get.

I don't think that money is a priority that can be generalized by age though. I think that varies from man to man.

It sounds to me like the guy you previously dated doesn't stimulate you...and that happens.
Give the older guy a chance, but beware....men over 40 usually come with lots of mileage, bad habits, and skeletons.

the answer is experience...and i dont mean in a sexual way. im 38...and i know when i was on my early 30's i had no idea what i wanted or what it might even look like. I was an experience hog...meaning anything that looked like fun id try for about an hour, two if it was wild and was told not to. As far as relationships...the only reason i stayed in any of them was because of the sex. I hate to admit that, but its true.

Now...its so much different. Im divorced and i see the would through different eyes. That lifes experiences should not be rushed through but savored. That each person you bring into your life that you deem important to do so, should be shown that respect and love for sharing with you their time. And its that concept....time that changes with age. You start appreciating how that changes your life...and how amazing it is when a wonderful woman spends her time with you...

just because

I dont think a guy in his 40's is looking to be a father, probably wouldnt mind settling down as long there is no little babies to worry about,

but most men think money and sex,, kinda goes hand in hand, most guys that have alot of money have chicks and get sex

I think it is the individual not the age you could have two 40 year old men and their priorities are not going to be the same you just have to get to know them
