Yes, you can. Have you ever considered Panko instead of traditional bread crumbs? Some people also use crushed corn flakes and bran. Here are some thoughts on frying:
Chicken legs, breasts, and thighs
1 quart butter milk
3 T hot sauce
2 eggs
1 cup water
2 cups bread crumbs
1 cup parmesan cheese
1 T kosher salt
1 tsp fresh ground pepper
Canola Oil
Marinate chicken in buttermilk and hot sauce over night. Drain. Blend water with egg mixture and dip chicken in the mixture. Blend cheese with bread crumbs, salt and pepper. Roll chicken in the mixture and place in frying pan with 1 inch of oil, very hot. Brown on both sides and cook until juices come out clear. Enjoy!

Yes you can. Use milk (eye ball the amount for the chicken) and an egg. Whisk with a bit of seasoning careful not to over season if your bread crumbs are flavored. Put the chicken pieces in the milk mixture (you can let the chicken soak for as long as you like but not longer than a overnight in the refrigerator). Pour bread crumbs into another bowl (feel free to season) use a fork or whisk to loosen the crumbs and distribute seasonings. Now you're ready to fry use medium heat and fry like pieces together. Do not crowd your pan the more chicken you add the lower temp your oil will be and it will take a while to get it back up which will not give your chicken that crispy skin. If not using deep fryer make sure chicken is completely brown on one side before turning. If you have hot spots in you pan feel free to slide pieces over to the other side of pan. With the bread crumbs your chicken will look darker than if fried with flour so resist the urge to take them out until you are sure they are done. Usually you will see blood on the surface of the chicken as the underside is cooking that is a good sign to get ready to turn pieces over. If you're like me and really like to be sure turn pieces over a few times until their is no blood surfacing . Do not push the chicken into the pan this will result in dry flesh. Higher heat is a no-no with the bread crumbs. Better to wait a little longer then end up with burnt chicken.

Yes you can! I take chicken, dip it in egg, then dip it in the bread crumbs. Sometimes I even do that twice if I want a nice thick coating on the chicken. Make sure the vegetable oil in the frying pan is hot before you put the chicken pieces in there, since they'll absorb too much of the grease if you don't. Just fry them up, and they're great!

yes, you can.....but when using bread crumbs you can oven-fry the chicken. all you do is season the chicken pieces using seasoned salt, garlic powder, and pepper. Then, roll the chicken in the bread crumbs all over, next, you put the chicken on a baking sheet lined with foil and lightly oiled with butter or cooking spray. you drizzle a little melted butter or margarine over the chicken pieces and bake it in the oven on 350 degrees until it's done....the chicken is done when the juices run clear....this usually takes about an hour maybe a few minutes more if the chicken is big.

Of course! I love using bread crumbs instead of flour, it makes it a little crunchier. Coat the chicken the sameway you would if you were using flour but be sure to keep a careful watch over it. The bread crumbs tend to have a better chance burning.

Yes, you can!
Dry the chicken well then dredge in flour seasoned with seasonings of your choice.
Shake off excess flour and dip in beaten egg.
Transfer to bread crumbs and coat thoroughly.
Let rest in the refrigerator for awhile to allow all the breading to "set-up" on the chicken. Fry.
Remember to keep one hand for dry (dredging in flour and coating with crumbs) and one for wet (dippin in egg) or else you'll be wearing a glove of breadcrumbs, flour and egg.
Check out the source link for additional tips.
Crumb coated chicken is very crispy, I'm sure you'll love it!

Its easier to cook the chicken this way than it is to fry it with bread crumbs. Hope you enjoy, its a very tasty 'batter'.
Oven Fried Chicken
INGREDIENTS
1 (2 to 3 pound) whole chicken, cut into pieces
1 cup dried bread crumbs
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 cup mayonnaise
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl or gallon size resealable plastic bag, mix together the bread crumbs, garlic powder, salt, pepper, thyme and paprika.
Coat the chicken pieces with mayonnaise. Place chicken pieces in bowl/bag with bread crumb mixture and coat/shake until well coated. Place chicken pieces in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish and bake for 45 minutes or until juices run clear

You can use all sorts of things to coat your chicken. Regarding bread crumbs, you can use your own seasonings & add them to the basic store bought crumbs or you can be creative. Try butttering sourdough or french bread slices and toasting them in your oven @ apx 300 till light brown & dry. A marinade that suits your taste can enhance your chickens flavor. One process is to coat chicken with seasoned flour, then coat with egg/beer/ or /?, then roll in crumbs. Good Luck to you!
