I Have A Cat & 2 Goldfish, And Am Getting A Rabit Soon Though!
I think That You Can't Really Have Too Many Pets, As long As Yoo Have The Time And money To Care For Them Properly, And Don't Get Over-Crowded Or Live In Filth Then Its Fine. But Everybody Has Their Limits So Make Sure Yoo Know Where Yours Are And Have Fun With Your Furry Friends :)

Well I have 4 fish and a dog. I am actually planning to get another dog sometime this year. I think I would be happy with always having two dogs. I want an even number of dogs so if somehow I got a third I would want one more.... Other than dogs I don't want any other pet.
I personally do not care how many pets one person has as long as they can provide a shelter, food and water for them and really treat them as one of their family members.
Putting a dog in a "kennel" does not count as a pet!

I have three pets. I have two cats and one dog. And for me this is the limit, for now. When I get a larger house with a fenced in backyard I plan to get more. maybe one more dog and one more cat who need a home. But the limit depends on the person. Someone who lives in a small apartment who works 40-50 hours a week will have a lower limit than someone who has a lot of space and a lot of time to care for their animals. And financial situation is also a factor.

I have a dog, a cat, a parrot, a tortoise and an avairy full of finches.
As for how many pets is to many depends on each individual. As long as you give each pet a good quality of life, proper care and you give each enough attention there isn't.
Then you need to know that there's someone that will look after them if you go on holiday or if your neighbours start complaining and you have to give some of them up. It's knowing when to say enough is enough.

i have 7 dogs, 4 cats, 7 guinea pigs, 2 bearded dragons, 1 pygmy goat, 3 horses, fish, mice, 1 snake, and several other pets...
I think once you can not afford to feed, care, and own a certian number of animals then that is too many animals. You need to be able to afford them, spend time with them, love and care for each and every one, the minute you CAN NOT do any of this for any of your pets. THATS when you have too many animals.

Wow and I thought we had alot. We have 3 dogs, 2 cats and 1 hamster. Of course we would love more but living in the "burbs" your only allowed so many otherwise you have to get a kennel license. I think if you live in the country that is an ideal situation which merits alot of animals and then when you have kids they can learn responsibility of taking care of them.

I have 2 cats and 2 dogs.
Too many in my opinion is the number of pets you have that you cannot comfortably haul to safety in a disaster situation.
I've got room for 2 more but I don't have the time and energy to put into training and cleaning up after.

I have two cats. too many pets depends on your financial means. If you have more pets than you can afford food and vaccinations for you have too many.
Too many in a house or yard can be a health hazard for people and the animals, think lots of poop. Check out the animal cops show on animal planet sometime.
Cities also have a limit on how many you are allowed to have, but the neighbors would have to complain before they would enforce it.

It depend on the dogs... Dogs really are pack animals, so the more dogs you get, the more dog fights you are going to have so unless you build a kennel to keep them separated, and I hope you got endless amounts of cash. It's not fare to keep that many animals, it is selfish. Cats after about 4-5 of them in the same house start to become territorial and begin to spray urine to make their territory. You can have endless amount of fish, but who has times to maintain more than 1-2 fish tanks? not me!
