I hate the environment I am in. I am an angry ***** in this environment. Feel unnoticed by guys, ugly. I'm just tired of it. I am an looking to find my kind of people. Yet I don't know who they are. In this environment, I am just an imitation of what I see. I am not me. Should I go far away for college?

There are many things I want to achieve, but where I am now, there is a block. Maybe I am just stupid. I dont' want my grades to go down, yet I am no longer interested in education. Things have not been going smoothly.

You say you feel "unnoticed by guys, ugly."

Looking for validation of yourself as a human being and a woman through approval of others is just not a healthy attitude.

Nor is thinking that if you move somewhere else, it will make your problems go away or your feelings change. These things tend to stay with us when we move, if we don't deal with them.

If your college has a counseling program through the health center on campus, I think that it would be a smart move on your part to go see a counselor, to help you sort out some of the feelings you have and help you decide what your next move should be. Generally counseling service is free or low-cost, so there should be nothing to stop you from availing yourself of this.

Give counseling a try. Good luck.

You think you go unnoticed by the opposite sex and are ugly? Hehe. Welcome to the club. I'll get you a membership card right away.

I went to the University of Miami with all my best friends, and we all lived together. OH....MY....GOD....was that fun! I failed every class, because I was "under the influence" of something 24/7 on South Beach. Oh Jesus, was it nuts. The adventures never ended.

Then I transferred back home, and it was a great move. Then again, unlike most people, I enjoy my family. My parents are really cool, and I can just hang out with them and do/say whatever.

Going away for college just got most of the partying out of my system. I've calmed down a lot now. All I do now is hang out on my PC, play some Nintendo, have the occassional acid-flashback, etc etc. I still have some adventures once in a blue moon, but they're not as frequent.

College is definitely not a place in which you just leave to escape everything in your life. College is place where you can actually LEARN about yourself, grow in your ways, and improve your education. Also, I wouldn't be so self-concious... try accepting the way things are, then trying to improve them. As far as not being interested in education, I would consider that the old disease of Senioritis. You're ready to move on, you're tired of your surroundings. I would definitely consider an in-state college or university because you would be far enough from home that your family could come visit you, but yet close enough to go home every now and then. Good luck!

Well, my college is two hours away from my home. So, for me it's good.
Anyways, the best college for you might be close to your home. I suggest going to visit different colleges or trying to find someone who is going there so you could have a good review on the college life there.
Going to college did change me. It make me realize how trivial high school is and I have matured since then.
Whatever you do about your education then don't let your grades fall! Remember, education is the key to success.

Going away to college helped me to gain a lot of confidence in myself. Give it a try. You can be yourself, or reinvent yourself to the person you want to be without people who know you dragging you back down.

As far as now, push yourself to get done. It will get better. Get the degree, then go to college, or travel and get your head together. Can't go anywhere if you don't finish high school - boy do I sound like a parent. Good luck. It does get better
