most of my girl friends think im such a sweet, nice, and awesome guy who deserves someone great and deserves a serious realtionship, and they are shocked that ive never been in a relationship (im going on 17). my question is why do girls seem to go for guys who treat them like dirt and are down right jerks then complain about it(one of my friends kept bithcig about her ex for example)....and will being a nice guy ever get me in that serious relationship??

Being a nice guy, a gentleman will certainly get you into a serious relationship. Trust me. Being a gentleman is something that is rare these days and all you need to do is to couple it with a good sense of humor and be outgoing and griendly with people and courteous and helpful as well. Trust me. You will be in big demand and if you are honest and not deceitful then you will come to know lovely affectionate ladies who will be kind, considerate, and courteous in return.

Yes and No, Being a nice guy is great but there is such thing as being to nice. Also younger girls are dumb and nieve (no offence) They all go for the guy who is more popular or such in high school because in high school all that stuff matters. When you get out all that stuff goes right out the window. Keep to being who you are and take care of yourself. Eventually it will happen bro, dont rush it.

Well I'd say the first two answerers are right but from my perspective (I'm just like you but way older) that even if most women eventually do realize that they'd have been better off being with a nice guy in the first place and even if they eventually do realize that they were wasting time trying to fix bad boys, I'm afraid that there is too much negative/inappropriate attitude among most women for guys like you for you to really be successful for now.
You need that nice 18 year old now, not when you and she are in your 50s - you will have to suffer thru life until you just flat out hate women (for what they did to you not for what they are) and eventually stop looking - then by some miracle God actually rewards you like he did me - not sure why it has to be this way, just know that it is - I just found true love at 50+ and I suffered like you all my life with bitterness and resentment, not towards the guys (whose success I admired not envied) but rather towards the girls who continually shot me down for some long list of monsters that I could just see would ruin their lives.
IMO this could all be cured if women were the ones who had to ask men out. Then all those supposedly "hot" babes who think all men just want to screw them would realize that we sensitive/nice men cared more about "nice", "decent" and "interesting" than other stuff most guys get accused of wanting, because then a lot of babes with nothing between their ears would get shot down by us - not out of revenge, but out of the inner knowledge that such women are dead ends and adultery waiting to happen.

Yes you just haven't found the right girl. Also if you are shy then that kinda means you don't like to interact with people so if you like a girl then go for it ask her out. You seem like a nice guy (hard to find) Don't change and remember you still have lots of time you are only 16 or 17

Have you ever heard the saying "Nice Guys Finish Last" All girls want the nice guy, but it is the bad boys who get there first. Just wait, one day you will find the girl that makes you flip over her. And she will feel the same about you. Good Luck!!

they do it cuz they haven't figured out yet what to avoid like plague, and yes being a nice guy will eventually land you an amazing girl and a serious relationship! not quite 17's plenty young enough that you don't have to worry yet; find an interesting girl who's not too far into the "just friends zone" and ask her out - good luck!

I really dont know why, but we girls like the bad boys. I think that is that we have a misconception that we can change him and hell be different, so we dont notice the nice sweet guys. But dont worry, the right girl will come to you.
