I was thinking of getting my 6 month old baby a tattoo of something cute a fuzzy. Do you think it would be ok? I heard they didn't hurt any worse that ear piercings so I figured it would be ok, especially sense she's so small and the tat wouldn't be that big.

get a tattoo on yourself instead, of her name and a teddy bear, or whatever - if the kid grows up and doesn't want pierced ears, all she's got to do is stop wearing earrings and the holes will eventually close. on the other hand, a tat will distort as she grows, and she's stuck with it unless you cough up the money for a painful procedure to cover it up again... though now I'm amusing myself with imagining how Barney would look after a few growth spurts :P

Are you kidding? Ear piercing is one thing, but a tattoo is permanent and not to mention it'll get all distorted when the child grows up. How would you like to be walking around with a "cute and fuzzy" tattoo your whole life that you never asked for? My god you must be insane. If you try this the cops should take your kid away.

Why bother with something cute and fuzzy? She'll grow up and regret it...why not go with something dark and brooding...she'll appreciate that when she hits her teens!

Please don't do this. Your baby doesn't care if she has one. You would be doing it for yourself. Let your little girl decide when she is old enough if she wants one and what she wants. Put a fuzzy cute tattoo on her and she may hate you when she is older. Same goes for ear piercing. Earrings hurt me when I lay on my side. Poor Little babies should not be subject to this pain. This is your child, not your pet to decorate. please don't put your baby through this. I don't think you will find an artist who will participate anyway. How can you sit an watch your baby girl cry for no reason? I couldn't stand to watch my children have their shots and vaccinations.

Haha. Maybe you could put one of those bar scan codes so you can track your kid wherever they go. Kinda like those chips you put in dogs to locate them. Hilarious.

ahhaa that would be so funny! imagine when it grows up and it stretches into just a huge colored spot.. when he/she is made fun of in gym class, it'll have to say its just a weird birthmark. haha.. this made me smile. [especially all the people who thought you were serious!]
