I am a bridesmaid at my sister's wedding, but still have to send an acceptance, I think. My other sister wrote WE WOULD LOVE TO COME on separate pieces of paper and her, her partner and children held them up for a photo - I want an original idea like this! Can anybody think of anything? If not, just some nice ideas for what to write in a card would be good. Thanks!

if you are willing to put some time into it, write something that is personal or a joke between the two of you. here are a few suggestions for cards;
-use an old picture of her, a cute one, when she was young, like five to nine. you can put together a mini collage of her on each opening page, as many as you want. on each page put a word of a sentence lke your sister did, or just translate them into (a well-understood) different langauge., like 'si' or 'wi-wi' or whatever.
-using copies of the two of them, do kinda the same as the first, except you could punch out really small letters of each one, making it kind of like a pic-find.
have fun! i hope these helped, and if not, at least gave you some good ideas!

First of all, no matter what you do in addition to, make sure you send back the response card included with her invitation. It will make things a lot easier for her. I enjoy it when people write something special right on the response card as I plan to keep them all in my wedding box. I would just write her a little note on that letting her know how excited you are for her and that you're looking forward to being a bridesmaid in her wedding. Getting the response cards back are exciting enough, you don't have to go overboard by including a gift or anything. Maybe if you had a photo of the two of you from when you were children that would be cute. Good luck!

We had a question like this a few weeks back, are you by chance from another country than America? We had all gotten up in arms about how this person had to send back the RSVP card, turned out the poster was from Ireland and had no idea what we were talking about because they dont use them over there, they send notes instead.

So for your dilemma, how about this. Get a large hatbox and put floral foam inside it, then with the bulb parts (just a little nub of the stem,enough to sink in the plant foam) of fresh flowers spell out your reply(YES!), if you uses roses, they will dry very pretty, or your sister can refill it as the flowers die with new flowers in a design that she likes and its a centerpiece for her kitchen table.
Here is a picture of the same project but the flowers are arranged in a heart. http://www.katiebrown.com/microsite/guide.cfm?action=grow&episode=13

Good luck!

This is a nice idea, but PLEASE send back the RSVP card, too. It's nice to be able to keep a nice stack of same-sized cards for counts, spreading out to do seating, etc. I can tell you, from experience...

However, also sending along something personal like this is a great idea. Perhaps sending her an item from your childhood, marked with "I would love to come" or something?

in accordance to any web content i've got appeared at approximately this, it rather is appropriate to deliver keep-the-date playing cards especially a lot as quickly as you have set a date. If any of your people or kinfolk who stay in different international locations ought to collect documentation to holiday, this could take a on an identical time as. additionally, any acquaintances or kinfolk who holiday frequently will take excitement in the heads up so as that they are able to get the final holiday bargains and so as that they don't make plans to be out of city/state/united states of america on that distinctive day.

My sister sent back her RSVP card, but marked it up and decorated it like crazy. She wrote notes on it, added stickers and drawings. It was really cute, but still easy to organize with the other RSVP cards.
