My boyfriend's mother acts like she loves me, but I have heard that she only tolorates me because of our son. I have done NOTHING for her to dislike me and it pisses me off that she may be talking trash about me and getting away with thinking that I have no clue! Should I have a talk with her or not? My mom gets along well with her too and she cant believe it, although I have heard this same thing before I had my baby!

Be pleasant and polite. If she has a particular problem with you leave it to her to raise - you can then address that situation - firmly. At the moment you know nothing so unless you really need to stir it up, leave well alone. Maybe by your actions she may have a change of heart - go on girl prove her wrong!

You have ALL the hand in this situation - hold onto your standards - unfortunately sometimes the young (You) have to lead the way for the immature (MIL).
