Are you been "forced" to go to church by a parent or spouse? Why would you even bring a laptop to church? I think you are asking this question just to get a rise out of people. Yes, bringing a laptop to church is even more rude as talking on a cell phone during a movie, only in church you're disrespecting God.

Yes, YES! A thousand times YES! What an asinine question! Is it okay to yell "movie!" in a crowded firehouse? (makes about as much sense) If people can't be away from their precious electronic gizmos (computers, cell phones and the like) for the length of a church service then they should just stay home!!! How ridiculous!

Why are you even attending a church service if your going to be on your laptop? Really makes no sense at all.

Yes and strange too for I've never heard of someone being in church with a laptop unless it was a minister evalurating another minister as a test.

I would definetly say yes. If people want to go to church they should be willing to put it away for the 45 minutes. If they aren't then they don't care enough about church so why are they even going?

i think it is, its just as bad as when you are at a child/teens choir/music concert & theres at least 20 ppl that are texting & playing games on cell phones, or even at the movie theater, if you go to church, then you should be there & hear about God, not be online doing other things. if you have important things to do, then miss church for a day, dont bring your important things to a church.

Yes, it is. We do have a woman at our church though we has a wonderful bible program on her laptop. When the pastor asks us to look in our bibles, she does use her laptop and no one has a problem with it.

Yes it is, with the exception being that you are using the laptop for the worship service(i.e. you have the bible, torrah, etc on the laptop; or you are assisting the staff with sound or powerpoint presentation.)

Yes.

I'm an atheist and even I find the idea offensive (though mildly amusing, come to think of it -- "Just a sec, God; I've got email")

I can guarantee Miss Manners would NOT approve.
