First of all it isn't just America and Britain. The entire UN security council, including China, France and Russia, just voted to impose sanctions on Iran. The same UN nuclear watchdog that is insisting on access to Iran's nuclear sites, keeps an eye on the US and Britain.

I don't understand the argument that because some nations have nuclear arms all should be allowed to have nuclear arms. That's insane! I personally hope that I never see a Theocracy get it's hands on nuclear weapons. I just don't believe that the threat of mutual destruction would work against a religious zealot.

The US has never done this. This demand is being made by the UN and IAEA.

And FYI - the US and Great Britain do meet our treaty obligations under the NPT.

During the cold war there were Soviet and Chinese generals and scientists all over our bases and nuclear equipment. The U.S. showed a Soviet general the F-117 before it was shown to the U.S. citizens.
