on the effects of day care on children? I have been searching for it and can not find the real thing-just press clips about the dangers of day care. That doesn't help. I am interested in the article itself. I want to review the methods used to determine the outcomes, group determination, backgrounds of the family, and what the researcher team considered "quality" care. I like to keep informed and since my background is in psyc and early ed and I know how to read a research paper, I would rather review it for myself than listen to a blurb on the news. Thanks!

Sorry the one that came out today (3/26)-I can't find a link to the journal it is cited in and hae yet to see the names of the research team mentioned.

Thank you!!! I read the article Sunshine linked too (the other was a subscription service). It gave more details and answered some of the questions I had. Who knew that care by anyone other than mommy is considered day care! Yep, in that study even dad and children raised by grands were viewed to be in day care! So mom's should be available 24/7 I guess. And the methods used to gather participants was a bit skewed for my taste. Thanks so much for the assistance on this one!
