It's pricey, but go through a reputable breeder of Yorkshire Terriers so you can get a healthy puppy from someone who's not running a puppy mill and breeds in a friendly clean and healthy environment.

Check www.petfinder.com or go to www.akc.org and look up info on Yorkies; this page should have info on the club's breed rescue organization. This way you can adopt a Yorkie that needs a home and you won't have to spend $1000. Rescue and shelter adoption fees vary; you can probably expect to spend less than $400.

Go on www.petfinder.com and type in your zip code. It will list all the shelters, humane societies and rescues in your area and you may find a yorkie or another small dog that fits your needs and really needs a home. It will cost less and you will save a life.

there are website like petsonline.cm that you can go to. but it might be more affordable if you got a Yorkie that wasn't register. I have a Yorkie and a bull dog you will need to be really careful with them because they are very fragile and easily hurt

I have a Border Collie mix that was given to us by a family friend and a purebred American Cocker Spaniel that was $200. Are you looking for a purebred or a mixed breed? I would definitely check www.petfinder.com, www.mydreampuppy.com or go to your local animal shelter or humane society.

Try your local animal shelter they are always trying to re-home dogs and puppies you may just find what you are looking for all.You will have to make a donation but it's not expensive.

Look into rescue and adoption agencies. You will find them cheaper there, but they may not necessarily be puppies. Anything you can do to help rescue an animal is great.
