Would there be effects on metabolism when drinking a non-alcohol beer? I know alcohol slows metabolism but wasn't sure how this would be with non-alcohol. Any other thoughts on benefits of drinking this would be great, also!!!

There is still some alcohol in NA beer. But it is so little that your body can process it before it will have an effect on you. If you are looking for an alternative to drinking regular beer for something like trying to control alcoholism, your best to leave this option alone. I tried, and all it did was make me want to drink real beer even worse than ever. As far as metabolic effects, who knows, it is still a lot of calories and carbs...

There is still alcohol in it, cept that it is reduced way down(instead of 5% it is.5%) so instead of 5 parts in every 100, it is 5 parts in every 1000(or even lower).
Personally I thought the benefit was from the little bit of alcohol to keep your blood thin(as in the case of the French and their wine habits) The only thing left for beer is that it is sugared water. So the sugar content should be lower.

what on earth could the benefits be to non alcoholic beer? Surely this is missing the whole point. Would you buy a car with no wheels or a canoe without a paddle? NO!!!! we just drink loads of the real stuff to make us sick!
