I know I know! Ask either one, "Which door would the other guy tell me to use?" Then go through the opposite door.
See- the liar will tell you to go in through the danger door, and the truth-sayer will point to the danger door as the one the other guy would tell you to use.

What the guard says does not really matter. You still have to find your way to safety. So, no matter what they say, you still have to decide which door is the safe one and which is not. And if they are guards, then they are not going to just let you through. So this riddle is pointless because you need more than a question to get you through a door.

You ask either of the guards "If I asked your twin which path to take to get to safety, which door would he tell me to go through?" And then you would go through the opposite door you were told because...
1. If you are talking to the truth-telling guard, then he will tell you what the other guard would say, which would be a lie. So the door indicated would be wrong.
2. If you're are talking to the lying guard, then he would lie about what the other guard would say, which would be the truth, so the lying guard would still indicate the wrong door.

Hiya
You ask either guide which door he would take - and then take the opposite.
Let me explain why.
If you ask the liar he will give you the wrong door so the opposite one would be correct.
If you asked the tuthful one, he would tell you truthfully what the liar would say and also give you the wrong door.
So you would also choose the opposite.
Either way with this question you win and get the right door.
Hope this helps

If you can choose who you ask, then presumably you know which guard tells the truth.
So just ask him which door to the good times.
If you don't know which is which, (and don't know which door is which), I'd need to have a think about it...
Clearly I have to think less now the girl above has got in with the answer before me.

Ask either of the guards:
"If I asked the other guard what you would answer to the question 'do you tell the truth?', what would he say?"

YJ,
You ask either or both of them "Are you telling lies ?"
The correct door to enter is then apparant. If you think about it for a tad.
