In Mecca, the most holy site of Islam, stands a silver holder containing a black stone which fell from the sky long before Mohammed was even born. In his desire to unify the region's numerous nomadic tribes, Mohammed designated Allah as the single god over the three-hundred-plus existing entities. Allah is a moon god, a pagan entity, linked to the black meteorite worshipped in Mecca. Thus, to think Islam is one of the great monotheistic religions is unsophisticated intellectually and inaccurate historically. Islam is pagan worship of a moon god.

I'm just talking about historical facts, not personal opinions. You'd answer effectively to address it as such

to the mormon claiming to be a christian. Did you check the facts when Joseph Smith claimed men live on the moon to be a 1000 years old. I'm terribly sorry for your family. I hope your kids question your teachings as you claim to question others.

You have been taught things that are simply not true. I am a Christian, but I don't believe much of what I am told about other religions until I check the facts MYSELF. (Your pastor is obviously not a good source!)

Well thank you for the mis-information. Actually, NO, the 'black stone which fell from the sky long before M(u)hammad(S.A.W.) was even born' theory is entirely INCORRECT.

The black stone is the only surviving masonry from the original 'House of God' that Abraham(A.S.) and Ishmael(A.S.) built hundreds or thousands of years earlier. Where the hell did you get 'from the sky' from? Check your history, bro.

And the word 'Allah' comes from the ARAMAIC word 'Eloh', which is a word which literally signifies 'something worthy to be worshiped'. Even Jesus(A.S.) said 'Eloi'(which means 'MY God' when you add the '-i' ending), so are you ACCUSING Jesus of acknowledging the 'MOON GOD'?

And also, the Moon and Star symbol which you would associate Islam of worshiping the 'moon god' with was completely alien to the Prophet Muhammad(S.A.W.). The only banner ever used by the Prophet was لا إله إلاَّ الل which meant '(There is) no God but (God)'.

And if you also say that the Muslims also use the lunar calendar and such is proof that they worship the 'moon god' then I guess the ancient Hebrews also worship the 'moon god' because they too followed the lunar calendar(and so Jesus(A.S.) did too, being a devout Jew).

However, nowadays, I bet you don't know that the Gregorian calendar(Jan., Feb., March, Sunday, Monday, etc.) was created by the polytheistic Romans in order to pay homage to their great leaders and gods (August= Augustus Caesar, Sunday= Day of the Sun(Apollo), Monday= Day of the MOON(Artemis)).

So check your attacks on Islam, fellow scholar. It just might happen that you are wrong, thus you break the first rule of debate and conflict: Know thy enemy.

Your claims of unsophistication and lack of intellect reflect what kind of person you are: self-righteous with a tendency to go headfirst into a brick wall because of ignorance and lack of understanding.

Seek more knowledge for knowledge is power; power is freedom; freedom is peace...

Peace be upon you...

Yes. I agree with you. Allah was known before that time as the moon god of honor and princeliness Nanna-Suen. You can read more about Him in many books on Sumerian religion.

However, you're not going to like the rest of what I have to say. The Christian god, while not associated with Nanna-Suen, is actually a composite deity of god of storms (Enlil) god of creation (Anu) and god of wisdom and water- (Enki.)

Ever notice how in the old testament, God has ADD or something? It's because much of the old testament is leftover from when the region was polytheistic. Anu created the world, Enlil flooded it to drown humanity, and Enki saved the most virtuous man from the flood. Sound familiar? It should. To make matters more interesting, the "whore of Babylon" is Ishtar, and Satan is a Canaanite trickster sun god.

The Abrahamic three ALL originated from a polytheistic religion. If you know what to look for, its clear as day. I don't think this makes them less worthwhile as religions go. It does mean though, that if you're a member of one of the other two and are disparaging Islam for having the same origins as Christianity and Judaism, that that's the ultimate in calling the kettle black.

That's not a question, chum.

But there are some you should ask yourself...

If a person was born... say 20 years ago, and went to mosques and read the Quran, they'd never hear any mention of what you're saying (whether it's true or not - source??)

So when they sit down to pray, they are directing their prayer towards 'The One God' who they call Allah...

If it is 'one god' in their mind when they pray, and every religious source that they credential tells them that theirs is a monotheistic religion, in what sense are they worshipping a moon god? Only if this moon god were actually real, and was secretly pulling the strings behind the scenes, could they be said to be worshipping a moon god. If your post is meant to claim ontological status for this unnamed moon god, it's still not a question.

Now then... Judaism is not a monotheistic religion either... Go read a translation of Genesis from the original Hebrew and you'll see that 'God' is plural there in many places, and these multiple gods are referred to by many names. The fact that it is NOW considered monotheistic should not matter, by your criteria.

Christianity also has 3 gods. Many branches of Christianity allow praying to the Saints as well. This closely mirrors Voodoo traditions and other so-called 'pagan' religions.

As a Pagan, I love looking into historic references of Pagan Deities. But oddly enough, I haven't found a single thing in history to back up that Islam is the "pagan" worship of a moon god. That didn't come out till after 911 and holds no historical reference whatsoever.

Brother! Mohammed did not designate "Allah"! On the other hand,Allah, who had raised nearly 124,000 prophets from different peoples from different parts of the world, has "designated" him as HIs last Messenger.
Traditionally kissing a stone brought by Adam from heaven, cannot be construed as pagan worship that too of moon god!
Experts aver that "monotheism" has been the oldest religion the world has witnessed.Soon it was followed by
idol worship, due to the machinations of vested interests.
In the God-forsaken valley of Makkah, patriarch Abraham
left his second wife,Heger and his First son, Ishmael. in deference to divine commandment. Subseqently, the father and son were assigned with the duty of building the first House of God on earth there- Kabah!
Ignorant and superstitious Makkans had converted that house of One God into a Temple of many Idols! As the true servant of God, Muhammed preached against idolatory
and invited people to follow the religion of Abraham, Ishmael Issac, Jacob(Israel),Moses, and Jesus! Jesus has informed his people that he has got to go to let in the next "Comforter",
with whom they were to abide for ever.
To distort a true picture and push a counterfeit instead is nothing but an intellectually dishonest deed and "suggestio
falsii" is culturally deplorable indeed!

In his desire to unify the people of Makkah, Muhammad (SAW) had the leaders of each tribe help carry the black stone to the Kaaba when he was a young man. Regarding statues of gods, Muslims are reminded of the story when Ibrahim (PBUH) taught his people the foolishness of worshipping something that can neither harm or help you.
Having said that, the moon god statue was the first statue among all 360 statues destroyed when Muhammad (SAW) and the Muslims marched on Makkah from Medina. So, it's highly unlikely Muhammad (SAW) thought of the moon god as a god, or Allah (SWT).

No more than Christianity is the Pagan worship of Sol Invictus because they worship on Sunday. Islam like, early Catholism, adopted aspects of the native cultures that, while originally sacred, had become secular. al'Lah is the arbic for "The God". The Moon god you reference is the pre-Muslim Arabic god Sin.

does it have to be "unsophisticated intellectually" to be bad?

as a matter of fact if it is "unsophisticated intellectually" it is good because everyone will understand it right?

I don't know where did you get your claims of the moon god but I have seen it alot.

We Muslims worship the ONE AND ONLY GOD. he he has no similar and no partner.

you can think whatever you want.

But the word Allah is the same word in Arabic and Aramic the original language of the Bible

if the qaaba being built be4 the birht of mohammed is an indication for random philosophies for u, with all due respect, it is an indication to me that mohammed did not come up with the religion himself, and that it dated from be4 mohammed PBUH. in fact, the kaaba was built by abraham, and we do not worhip it, indeedn, but the reason why all muslims bow to it now, is for all of us not to be confused which way we should do our prayers. god said in the quran, he made the kaaba our direction because he wanted to test of the prophts companions who wil folow him and who will not. we do not woship the kaaba.... and im sure u know, u just want to try to dim the light of our religion, unsuccessfully.

in addition, historically, every other prophet be4 mohammed used to pray in that direction as well, including jacob, ibrahim himself and moses and jesus. they actually built temples for the prayer. ne4 the kaaba, people used to pray in the direction of the mosque in palestine, but allah changed it to make it he kaaba.
where the hell does the moon come into islam, its just a creation of god. why would islam, come into pagans inn mecca and be killed and tortured just to teach paganism as well. dude, hello, read books, look around u, wheres the similarities??? we pray for the same god jesus prayed to and jacob and israelPBUT. prayed to. not mohammed, not kaaba, its Allah, meaning god. (allah means the one and only meaning god.its a unique word however, we dont use it for something else, cos it means god. it doesnt mean that were naming different gods that ur own prophets.)

dude curiousity is something, and trying to outsmart people is something else. ask ur questions sensibly...with an open mind. ur not gonna take my answer seriously because u dont want to.... one day it will click hopefully,
errrrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhh that took a lot of my time, i hope its fruitful
