Or am I supposed to include federal grants & loans in my income estimation, thanks.

You can put 0.00 as your income. Never include money you got from grants and loans unless they specifically ask for that information. Even money in your savings account that comes from grants and loans is not counted.

Yes you can. They do not go against you if you have been working. The less you make the more money you recieve. Sometimes you will have to fill out additional forms but that's it. Do not lie and state that you have a steady income because they will ask you to support that with documentation. But it depends on what kind of scholarship you are looking for. If its the state or federal they do ask for documentation to support your income status.

If you are good at any math or science. You could tutor it under the table. Thats what I do.
