Because he doesn't exist.

Why don't believers have faith? Why do they almost always falsely insist that they have evidence instead?

Atheists, by definition, believe that God does not exist. It would then be irrational for atheists to have faith in God if they don't believe that God exists.

Because there is no evidence one exists. The world can be explained entirely without reference to a divine being. Continued belief is really continued belief in old models of how the world works, just as there are still people who are convinced the Earth is flat, there are still people who believe in a divine being. There isn't anything wrong with that, unless you start killing people over it.

I do....I have faith in my god and my god is within me, I have faith in what i do and how I live I don't need to be told or threatened by hypocrites in ivory towers that i should do things their way or burn in hell.
Apart from that I am at the moment watching sky news where people are killing each other in the name of YOUR god.............very odd why don't you have faith in mine instead?

Well, I suppose they were never exposed to God and how wonderful he can be. I think that most Atheists have just seen so much bad that they can't believe in something that is all good. There is so much evil in this world that people tend to focus on that more and not concentrate on the pure and good things.

It largely has to do how the person was raised, influences, and their own personal beliefs. I do, but most people pefer something they can see in order to believe in it. To each their own.
