Ok, my first question is, I want to make kool-aid with splenda, how much splenda do I use for two quarts?

Also, I heard that if you're dieting, it's better to drink a glass of soda than a glass of juice because it's easier to work off the soda. Does anyone know if it's true?

Don't know about the soda. I've always been told that any kind of soda is bad for you. Personally, I only drink water and sparkling water with lime -- but that's a personal choice.

As for the Splenda question, Splenda is substituted cup for cup. So if you usually add a cup of sugar, you can substitute a cup of Splenda.

While Splenda tastes better than other sugar substitutes, it still has a bit of an aftertaste. Personally, I use Splenda for baking which is half sugar-half Splenda. I find this has a better taste -- probably b/c of the sugar. LOL (though I don't make kool-aid, I just use it in my tea)

Splenda makes a Quick Pak that has pre-measured packets for Drink mixes like kool-aid. Or you can add one cup of Splenda instead of a cup of sugar.

I use the same amount as would use sugar.I don't like kool-aid to sweet so I start out with 3/4cup. Diet coke 1 calorie. There are new juices at the store with lower sugar.they are very good.Try 3/4 cup of juice and 1/4 cup water to lower the sugar. If your really watching, Little slice of lemon in water is great. If you want ,add a little slenda.

Use less splenda vs. sugar. You can always add splenda but you can't take it away. I use 1/2 cup of splenda for 1 cup of sugar.
