I've been missing a girl for 11 months. I hadn't been bugging her since she didn't want to talk to me anymore. We said hi occasionally, I thought things would be cool between us. I tried to talk to her. I said Hey how are you? She said nothing. I tried to talk about how she was helping with something (she was inactive at the moment). Still nothing. I told her I know we haven't talked in the longest time (I liked her, then fell in love with her, but she never liked me back), but I only wanted us to be FRIENDS again. I couldn't bring myself to say I missed her because it seemed like she wasn't hearing me. She kept her back turned towards me, unlike when I saw her sneak so many glances at me this past year. She texted on her phone. She never even looked at me, never said a word. I wanted to say what I felt about her, but all my feelings about her besides "I love you" wouldn't come up. I wanted to say I love you. I just said "ok, I get the point, you don't have to say anything else.

I guess I'll just see you around." That was the only time I tried to talk to her. She talked to everyone in the hall but me. I left her. I'm wondering what should I do for her birthday this week? After that, I'm forgetting all about her because I see that she'll never care for me the way I do for her.
I'll ask this in the form of a poll. Should I-
#1-Just say happy birthday to her (she's turning 17 and I'm 17)
#2-Completely ignore her
If I completely ignored her (which she did to me this year on my birthday and she knew it was my birthday) wouldn't that just be being immature or doing evil for evil? Even though I think that's what I have to do.
If I at least say happy birthday, then am I being the bigger person, showing that I'm still going to treat her right no matter how she treats me (although I'M ALREADY PAYING HER NO ATTENTION) ?

We had a friendship that lasted 4 months and I care about her alot, enough to WANT to get her something just because (as well as to let her go) but I'm just not going to. Also today I thought and I realized that in the last month of us talking, when she got angry at me, I had not done A THING to her. I was changing what she said I was doing wrong. Also, I had a girlfriend during the time we weren't talking but she was really crazy so we didn't last long.

you're not moving on. do you hate yourself or something? why are you letting yourself be hurt? there's a girl out there that will stalk you back because she really really likes you...just quit while she's not filing charges! You can't always be right. Let yourself mess up and be wrong. She won't like you like you like her. So what. Why make yourself look worse to her by buying her a bday gift? For her birthday, do yourself a favor and get her nothing. I'm sure it will surprise her. Then start a diary and make yourself sick of her. Write about her all the time and when you see how you need someone who likes you back, you'll just trash that diary. What a butthead for her not to like you. Find someone who will.

You don't really need to buy her anything at all.
If you're feeling as though you need to leave her with some special thoughts though, you might take the time to pick out a birthday card with the exact sentiment that you feel, sign it appropriately (since you're cooling it) and put it in the mail.
You're free to move on and you should.

Get over her... she is ignoring you for a reason.. she wants you to leave her alone.

Stop texting her, stop emailing her, stop calling her, stop talking to her. Next time you see her, look away.

You can't be friends again... it's not possible. You're just going to have to move on - and do nothing for her birthday.

I would not waste any more brain power on her, thinking about her birthday or otherwise. You are obvioulsy a very kind and thoughtful person. Find a girl who will appreciate those awesome qualities.

So, #2.
