well if by pony your talking mustang then it has a pawl and quadrant system adjuster on it. usually you can adjust the clutch by pulling forward on the clutch peddel itself. if that doesnt work then look under the dash just above the clutch peddel and you will see where the cable attaches to the pedal. all you need to due is just release the pawl and pull forward then and it will adjust itself again to the proper tension. good luck.

there is a adjustible replacement kit available for the Fox Mustangs from any Mustang specialty jobber. I have one in my 86 SVO

toe up on the clutch pedal, it has a self adjusting quadrant. all fox body mustangs have them. toe up. and push down, thats all thats to it!, providing the quadrant teeth are in good shape and not stripped out
