Okay, I know someone who I think likes me. I love this person. But when we're together when others are around we he constantly bashes me with negative comments. When it's just us two, we have such a great time. Any ideas as to why he does this?

because he's a jerk. Don't allow anyone to bash you like that! It's cruel, it's immature and it's just rude. If someone likes you, they treat you with respect, kindness and consideration-- they don't put you down in front of anyone. Dump the loser.

Do you really want a person in your life that doesn't respect you? It's obvious they don't by bashing you around other people. You love them but do they love you? I would be cautious of this person bc it could lead to ALOT of heart ache on your end. I've gone through similar situations and they've turned out badly more often than not. Just be careful! For your sake.

Sounds like he's ashamed of a public relationship with you. Or he is denial.
