My husband is carpet cleaning now with a cleaning machine. But I know it has alcohol in it...pretty sure anyway. Will my carpet be okay??

Yes. The alcohol will soon evaporate. Next time use a steam cleaner - little soap, mostly water and make sure to vacuum all the moisture up that you can possible get out of the carpet.

It will be fine. And yes, it is almost pure alcohol. If you can use it on your body and not have it eat thru your skin, it is unlikely to cause a chemcial reaction and harm your carpet in anyway.

the alcohol has probably evaporated already, shouldnt be a problemeven if it had a lot of coloring then that would still be easily removed

Not to worry!!!! That spot will be well "sanitized". Should not cause any problems.
