Well, as I understand it, faith is trust. If I were to define it with more than just one word, I would say that faith is an action, based upon belief, sustained by confidence.

So belief is not enough, faith requires action.

Now to decide what to faith in involves a decision. And that descision is based upon an opinion, I would say.

What a Christian does is derive the importance on the source of opinion on God. It's God's opinion what matters most.

That's why we can typically get past the " Why did God do it that way" questions. We know that He decided to do things in the way He wanted to. There's probably more to the subject than that, but that's the way I see it.

Faith=Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Opinion=A view, judgement, or apraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter; A belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge; A generally held view.

I don't see too much difference, really. Faith is based on opinion. Opinion is sometimes based in fact, but mostly in belief, same as faith.

Faith is build on a firm foundation its build on ones lifestyle.
Faith involves your understanding perception and just the way you live your life. A belief. While opinions are more of what people feel and it has everything to do with ones mind and intellectual side its not foundated its not a way of life you dont live life by opinions its uncertain and subject to change.

Well, you could have faith in something although you believe that it might not occur....Like you might have faith in a topic, but reason may cause your opinion not to be complementary to it.

It doesn't. Faith is your opinion as to what you find to be likely in the abscence of (or in some cases, ignoring) evidence.
