awww how cute. A tat doesn't hurt very much at all really. Any area that has a high concentration of fat and muscle will be the least painful.

Now go get that tat!~

Well where doesn't matter,it's still gonna hurt either way. But you can control how long you are gonna be in pain so get something small but not with alot of detail because that's what takes long and is most painful. Since you have a child that means you've experienced child birth. Therefore you have nothing to worry about, you can manage, because child birth is proably the most pain a woman could ever go through in her life.

Don't worry about it, get it for you son. I have several and my son's name with angel wings and a halo over top. It was extremely painful but so was having him.

Hi i dont know I havent had one but my brother my dad and my partener has one and they said that it doesnt hurt that much, my borther has one on his arm and he got another on the other day on his wrist and he said it hurt more on his wrist than the arm. So im not sure, my dad said it didnt hurt as much as the last tattoo he got. I think it all depends on who you go to. I want one put if I can cope with it it will be a waste.
I cant imagine it being too painful. But I wouldnt like to say everyone feels pain differently. It has to hurt as it goes through tunderneath the epidermis to the other skin underthat also after words its always red and swollen so if people say it doesnt hurt then there lying.

I have one on my lower back - it hurt a bit especially over the spine area but I found once the outline was done the colouring was more of a niggle than pain

If you just want a small one it will be over before you know it - mine took 2 hours and I was sick of sitting in the same position by that time!

I had a scorpion (birth sign) tattooed on my hip years and years ago, it hurt like hell!! The worst, as someone else said is definitely the outline, the rest is a breeze.
Why not take a trip to Miami Ink and get one of the guys there to do it, they are real artists!!
Grin and bear it, it's for your child so nothing will hurt for him, right??

It is not bad at all, the one I have on my shoulder blade was the least painful place for me so far. It really is no big deal, trust me having a baby is far worse

best places are Fleshy ones such as buttocks or upper arms. Areas over bones such as ankles or shoulders are the real killers for pain. And yes it does hurt but not as much as child birth

Well theres a needle involved, so not pain free, but my sister has one and shes a total wimp and said it wasn't that bad so I'm guessing not too bad.

Wow, my grammar is really bad here.
