it depends on how big the pimple was and if you just "scratched" it and the scar is more superficial or "not so deep" vs. a large pimple that you popped. popped pimples will leave pitting scars that are unfortunatey irreversible. the scarring may be so slight that you would need a magnifying mirror to see it or so severe that it is noticeable even with makeup over it. the good thing is that you can make scarring less noticeable by keeping your skin well hydrated with non oil based moisturizer like Moisturel (found in phamacies) or any other hypoallergenic lotion and most importantly drinking lots of water and improving the circulation in your skin by exercising! depending on how sensitive your skin is, light exfoliation either on a daily basis or every other day, etc..will help prevent blackheads. so when you're in the shower lightly brush your face with a mild soap and a loofah or "buff puff".

Hi,
I am a dermatologist by profession and within a careeer of 10 years I have seen lots of acne problems. According to me Red and white pimples are the worst and painful. Acneprone skin is very sensitive, even if you touch it once the redness will increase with itching. According to me there is no magical way to heal your pimples over night as this is the puffed part of your skin due to the bacteria.

In simple words try to improve your diet and have lots of water that helps in healingg process. Un-necessary oily food should be avoided to get a healthy spotless skin.

Acne Scar Remedy 1: Lemons

Lemon juice is very effective in lightening the dark spots caused by acne or pimples. First, cleanse the scar with water. Dab one teaspoon of lemon juice into a cotton ball and smooth it over the acne marks. Leave for ten minutes, then rinse. Use caution with lemon juice because it can make your skin photosensitive. So be certain to use a sunscreen on any area you treat with lemon juice prior to going out into the sun.

Acne Scar Remedy 2: Soda

Baking soda is a very good exfoliant. It gently exfoliates your skin and leaves it smooth and silky. A version of Baking soda is used in the microdermabrasion treatment. Therefore you can also give yourself a homemade microdermabrasion treatment by mixing one teaspoon of baking soda with the two teaspoons of filtered water. Then gently rub the mixture on your acne scar for sixty seconds then rinse it off.

Acne Scar Remedy 3: Olives

After exfoliating your skin with baking soda, massage a pea-sized amount of olive oil onto your face. Acne scaring can cause the skin to lose its elasticity and suppleness. The moisturizing nutrients in the olive oil will penetrate the skin to deeply moisturize the skin and soften the skin’s texture.

you can also rub sliced tomatoes on the blackheads to help them clean up.

Vitamin E.it's sorta gooey, but it helps deminish the scar! You need to put it on your scar at various times during the day! And you can get it at Wal-Mart!! There is also Mederma, it's also a product that deminishes scars! You can get it at Wal-Mart too, but it costs more!!

What skin care line do you use? I have the same problem. I'm using Mary Kay, this stuff called Even Complexion by MK. It seems to be lightening them. I also ordered this stuff by Phaze.
