I've heard from several sources that in Tennessee, if you are involved in a motor vehicle accident and you are at fault and you were not carrying adequate insurance, your license will be suspended. Are there any situations where this did not happen? Also, if that person moved to another state, would they be able to get their licensed in that state or would they have to pay for the damaged vehicle/s first?

You can't get a license in another state if it is suspended in your home state. I would suggest getting insurance now before court. You may want to try a website that compares multiple companies at once to get you the best price. I am paying less than ½ after I did.

This is true. And moving to another state to get a license, won't work. All states share info about driver's, you would need to clear up the incident and pay all the fines, before you could get a suspended license back. You also will be required to carry SR22 insurance for at least three years. This is high risk insurance, expensive.
