Those are pretty intense colors. I'd use a white or light grey wall and curtains that are the same, light colored with a red or black pattern if you like.

Black and red is my grandson's favorite colors. For the guest bedroom that he uses and is really his when he visits, I have black bedside tables, black chest of drawers and a black head board with mirrors. Red bedspread and throw rugs. The carpet is a light camel, so I had his walls painted french beige and found curtains that were a very very light beige with a splash of read and green in the design. Looks very nice and blends well. He's happy with it any way. I know this is not living room or entertainment room advice. But hopefully the color scheme will be of some help.

Light grey would be a nice backdrop, sort of industrial. You could actually do grey and rag silver over it to give it a more industrial feel. In this case a darker grey linen curtain would be nice.

The other color you might consider is pale to medium sage. It would be a bit more earthy. I'd add a curtain that had red and a bit of sage in this scenario. Maybe a funky geometric pattern to keep it from getting too "country."

Congrats.... another lover of the color red!! I LOVE red! My sofa is red. I would choose white walls if it were me but if you really want some color maybe a pale shade of grey.

Whatever you do, DON'T go for dark paneling! A friend moved his similar style stuff into an apartment with dark paneling and it looked like a brothel.
