Yes, And we better start getting along. Religion, Pride and Patriotism are the most destructive forces on the planet.

No, I don't. I do believe that all people are CREATED equal, but we all have different values & beliefs that must be at least recognized & formal governments seem to be the best way to do this. In my opinion, this comment is a Communistic (or at the very least a Socialistic one). Communism does not work, because humans are flawed & generally selfish by nature & therefore PURE TRUE Communism can NEVER exist! (This is true of Socialism, too.)

It's a great goal, but we're not there yet. For many, the only way to achieve this would be conformity to one way of life, whether the acceptance of one theology or the absence of all...same goes for political systems, economic systems, etc.

Diversity is what keeps our world interesting and amazing. Unfortunately, it is also the cause for much discord. When we can all agree to disagree we may be on the right track.

No. The earth is divided and so people and their ways differ. We have many different languages and traditions. The only unique aspect is our human nature. Everyone has it, but human nature is such that it lives in the inbred and habitual, and when it meets something it is not accustomed to it will react as human nature would.

If so, there sure is an awful lot of civil war going on... I think it's a great goal, but we're nowhere near there yet - a single country would have a single government, economic system, etc. (religion would, I hope, retain its diversity!)

It is the ideal, but unrealistic, it's human nature to divide ourselves, through beliefs, location and appearence. It's just what we do, sadly.

definitely. if people took this into consideration in our daily lives, maybe we'd be able to get along better, regardless of sex, religion, orientation, race, ethnicity, etc. etc. this is a beautiful quote!
