Depends on if you let it.
Your emotional wounds can only "heal" if you allow them to. If you stay in contact with the man who harmed you, you keep the wound from healing.
If you allow the person to go, you give yourself time to mourn for the person, and then you move on, you will be fine. Remember, that if you don't give yourself a chance to cry things out, it will take longer to heal from it, you have to have a mourning period.
One last thing, "healing an emotional wound" left by a lover is like healing a cut on your skin. Eventually the wound will close, but you will always have a scar.
Letting go and healing doesn't mean forgetting.

Time doesn't heal all wounds! It depends on the person who's been hurt. If they choose to forgive then yes. There are alot of bitter people in this world. Do you think time will heal all wounds from 911! Never.! Final answer. NO

Time does not heal the wound, the human itself does. Time only is a leeway for the human to get together the act and thus be able to conjure up a plan of attack to fight off the wound.
If physical wounds, then the body's immune system is the source of the healing and time again is just the leeway. But I personally think this is a mentally inflicted wound.
Bottom line, humans choose their limitations and how powerful they can be.
Good Luck

That's tough. Time certainly takes the sting and hurt away. But time can't necessarily get a wound out of your mind. The more that time passes, the more that other things will take your attention away from the wound and onto other things.
I really don't know...the wounds I've had haven't been HORRIBLE, my wounds are manageable and I believe time will heal them.

I do not believe that at all. Time will not heal anything, it will just force you to become numb to the feeling. When it comes to relationships this is very true. I am a firm believer in letting things come and go. If you are in a relationship and it doesn't work out, don't just sit around and wait for it to become right again. Chances are that it won't, and if it didn't work the first time, why would it the second? Grab life by the horns!

Yes it does if you use the time wisely. If you sit around day after day thinking about the past and refuse to let it go, you won't heal. If you decide to move on, get busy and make changes, time heals.
