It is NOT blistered, just HOT, RED, & PAINFUL. I've already used Aloe After Sun lotion and also used Aloe w/ Lidocaine, both by "Banana Boat" & still hurts.

Try an aloe product that is more pure (aloe gel, etc.)

Take a cool shower a couple of times a day...use lotion every time you think about it and make sure that it has aloe. A good one is from Keywestaloe.com...they have 50% aloe and are very soothing! Good luck!

Keep using the Aloe After Sun, your skin will drink it up like water. Avoid cool showers because the water will wash all the nourishing oil off and leave you drier than before. If you're in continuous pain take an advil and a tylenol (they're both pain relievers and anti-inflammatory and you can take them together because they work differently and don't interact).

Hope this helps!

Take some advil or tylenol and slather yourself with aloe. Unfortunately, there's not a whole lot more you can do right now. You could take a cool bath - just soak in cool (not cold) water for a while. I have had a few bad burns in my life and I can honestly say that I feel your pain. Hope you're better soon.

If it's been less than 24 hours take some aspirin QUICK!!!! It will take away the pain and some of the redness. But only in the first 24 hours.

If it's been longer than that, take 1,000 mg of vitamin C, 400 I.U. of vitamin E, 15 mg of beta carotene, and 1-2 tablespoons (or about 3 capsules per teaspoon) of flaxseed oil for then next 3-4 days. It will help your skin heal faster.

Sunburn will hurt less if you keep the air out. Wear a t-shirt with long sleeves. Wear long pants -- not too tight or it will chafe. Take a cool bath (better than a shower). If you aren't going anywhere, wrap a towel or sheet around the affected parts. And keep using the After Sun.

When you start peeling (and you will) avoid the temptation to pull off the peeling skin.

I've heard a cool bath with vinegar works. I was going to suggest the lidocaine stuff by banana boat. I love that stuff......but I see you've already tried it.

It's going to hurt until it heals some, just like any burn. Aloe will cool it off some and help it heal a little more quickly.

Take aTylenol or similar pain releiver and, this may sound strange, take a plain yoghurt out of fridge and lather on red areas. The cooling effect is immediate and the pain will diminish. When it dries take a cool shower to rinse off the mess.Repeat as many times as you are able.Very messy, rather smelly but works.
