I personally don't, but my girlfriend does. She goes mainly to spend time with her teenage daughter who wants to exercise. My g/f gets a bit bored, because she says there are only so many ways to do the same exercises/stations. But it's better than nothing.

Another friend of mine (female) also goes. She's in her 30s and goes several times a week with her mom. She has lost a lot of weight, but that has also been helped by watching her diet. She says she feels a lot better, more energy, etc.

Bottom line, I suppose, is if it gets your butt out of the house to be active, it's a good thing!

I have to dissagree with the 1st 2 answers. I go to curves and have for a year now. I lost 17 lbs the first 3 months. My goal was 25. I am slowly turning the rest into muscle. Whenever I feel like I have hit a plateau it's up to me to take it to the next level. They have something called an advanced workout that the instructor watches you do a lap and counts your reps then they give you a card of how many reps you should do on each machine usually a little more than you are used to. They also have a boot camp workout which is really challenging. The name pretty much says it all. They push you to do as much as you can. They also have diet training. I think for the amount of money you pay it is way worth it. Your results are pretty much up to you. I see people working out walking in place on the recovery pad and talking while they are on the machine then they wonder why they are not seeing results. If you are there to focus on yourself I think you will have great results. Message me if you have any specific questions.

I have in the past, seems kinda slow but there is progress. Great for stress relief and just feeling better in general due to the increased activity. If you are really trying to make a big difference you need to also change your diet

when you start sure it'll help as your body isn't used to moving around and the new stress to your system will see you lose weight
after 1-2 months you may as well be sittin on your butt as your body will have adapted and the changes wont be seen anymore as they have no way of changing the workout or making it harder...which is the main flaw in their system
