If you are looking for a fresh and new dating medium with more options, then most definitely yes.
Online dating is a new and wonderful way to meet and get to know new and interesting people. It is much easier to get to know someone up front... you chat more freely because there is no guarantee that you will even meet! There is no reason to impress someone that you'll never meet, so just be yourself and be honest.
There are a few guidelines that you should follow, however:
1) Join a top-notch dating site. (The one that I use for my clients is listed below)
This ensures that you don't get the garbage members that you find in freebie dating sites. (pranksters, married people looking for a fling, and predators)
2) Be honest and up front about yourself.
The truth always comes out!
3) Find about 20 - 50 people from the site which interest you.
This ensures high probability of success!
4) Start to e-mail them and ask them questions. The ones which are interested in you will answer you back and you will begin the "get to know you" phase. If you start to hit it off with a few of them, you'll move up to the "online chat" phase, and eventually the telephone call phase.
You should eventually end up with a handful of them which you are interested in meeting in person, and who are interested in meeting you. Start to date them, and spend the time truly getting to know who they are, to see if you have the chemistry between you to start a long and lasting relationship!
In the end, you will have at the least a lot of friends which are truly interested in you because of who you are, and at the most a romantic interest!

It's worth a try, but be prepared for people who are untruthful. You might end up going on a lot of dates before you find someone worthwhile.
Also, take it slow and when you finally do decide to meet, do it in a public place, don't have him come and pick you up until you feel you can trust him.

I believe it is an option. People say NO without hesitation, but where else are you going to meet people? Myself, I do not drink and i do not like the tavern atmosphere. The workplace is a good place to meet, but then you are afraid to complicate work relationships. I would do it, and i have, but be safe. Always meet in public first.

If that's what you want to try, then go for it. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
I met my other half online and now we're inseparable. Just make sure you take precautions when first meeting someone.

No you shouldnt. why pay money to meet someone. even though there is advantage you get to know someones interest is the same as yours. why pay money for it, where you can do it for free. when there is a party or at a club, walk up to the person that you attracted to and talk to them.
